Sri Ramachandra Central Library is the fruit of the vision of a great visionary SRI. N.P.V. RAMASAMY UDAYAR, THE FOUNDER CHANCELLOR of our University. He foresaw the great strides of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) and felt the need for a spacious library to be the backbone of this Institute. The culmination of his vision resulted in the 40,000 square feet ambient treasure house, which was inaugurated in 1985.
In the year 1997, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) entered into a historical inter institutional alliance with the Harvard Medical International, Boston, USA. To reminiscence this historical alliance this library was renamed as Sri Ramachandra Central Library.
